Privacy Policy
Cloud Music (home screen name: Cloud Music) (the “App”)
Developer / Provider: Guowen Li (App Store seller)
Effective date: October 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use Cloud Music on iPhone or iPad. By using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
What Cloud Music is
Cloud Music is an offline player for audio files you already have. You bring files into the App (for example via the system Files picker including cloud Locations such as Google Drive / Dropbox / OneDrive, local Wi‑Fi transfer, an audio file URL, or the on-device Music library) and play them locally on your device.
- We do not require you to create a Cloud Music account.
- Cloud import uses the system Files picker. Sign-in to Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive happens in those providers’ own apps or Files — not inside Cloud Music. We do not receive your cloud password.
- Cloud Music is not a streaming catalog and does not host or redistribute your uploads on a public server.
Information we process
On-device library and playback
Audio files you bring in, playlists, favorites (Liked), History, Top Plays, equalizer and sleep settings, and related metadata stay on your device for offline play. We do not operate a cloud sync of your music library.
Advertising (AdMob)
If you have not purchased Remove Ads, Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) may show banner, interstitial, and app-open ads. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers and related advertising data as described in Google’s policies. You may see an App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you deny tracking, ads may be less personalized. AdMob may also derive approximate location (typically from IP) without the App requesting location permission.
Analytics (Umeng)
After you agree to the in-app Privacy Notice, Umeng may collect anonymous usage statistics (for example device information, app version, and page or product-interaction events). Init runs only after Agree. Umeng may also derive approximate location (typically from IP) without the App requesting location permission. If analytics is not configured for a build, this collection does not run.
Diagnostics
Umeng’s SDK may collect crash or performance-related diagnostics when analytics is enabled, to help us understand stability.
Purchases
Remove Ads is a one-time non-consumable purchase processed by Apple. We receive StoreKit entitlement status (ads removed or not). We do not receive your full payment card details.
Diagnostics and support (Feedback)
If you email Feedback, we receive the address you send from, your message, and the device info block attached by the mail composer (app version, OS version, device model).
Cloud Locations
Cloud Music opens the system file picker. You choose audio files that iOS / the provider’s File Provider already makes available. Authentication to those cloud services is handled by Apple Files and/or the provider’s own app — not by a Cloud Music cloud login screen. Selected files are copied into on-device storage for offline play.
When you pick files from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or similar Locations, those providers process data under their own privacy policies.
Wi‑Fi Transfer
Wi‑Fi Transfer runs a short-lived local server on your device so another device on the same Wi‑Fi can send audio files to you for personal offline playback. File transfer stays on your local network. We do not operate a public upload service for this feature.
How we use information
We use the information described above to provide and improve the App, show ads when Remove Ads is not purchased, understand usage after you agree to analytics, process Restore / Remove Ads entitlements, and respond to Feedback.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Advertising and analytics partners (AdMob, Umeng) and Apple (StoreKit / App Store) process data as needed to provide their services under their own policies. Cloud storage providers process files you open through Files under their own policies.
Retention
On-device library data remains until you delete it in the App or delete the App from the device. Entitlement status follows your Apple ID purchase records. Feedback emails are retained as needed to respond to you. Ad and analytics retention is governed by those partners.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Purchase Remove Ads (one-time) to stop ad requests from the App.
- Deny App Tracking Transparency — ads may still show in a less personalized form.
- Analytics starts only after you Agree to the in-app Privacy Notice.
- Delete the App to remove on-device library data from that device.
- Contact us for privacy questions (subject: “Privacy Request – Cloud Music”).
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy. The effective date at the top will change when we publish updates.
