Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SWIFT Code iOS app (“App”), provided by Yongqiang Wen (“we”, “us”). The App’s home-screen name is SWIFT Code. The App Store listing name is SWIFT Code: BIC Finder. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The App

The App provides an offline reference directory of bank SWIFT / BIC codes, including search, country/region browse, Favorites, and sharing of bank details via system features. Features may change over time.

2. Bank-code data — license and non-affiliation

2.1 The bundled directory is third-party reference data made available under the MIT license (compiled/redistributed via https://swiftbic.org/download/). You may use lookup results for personal or business reference subject to these Terms and applicable law.

2.2 The data is NOT the official SWIFTRef product. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication). Trademarks remain the property of their owners. Descriptive use of “SWIFT” / “BIC” refers to industry routing identifiers only.

2.3 Directory entries may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. The App is a convenience reference only. You must confirm all payment routing details with the beneficiary bank (or your payment provider) before sending money. We are not responsible for failed, delayed, misdirected, or rejected transfers.

3. License to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms / App Store Terms of Use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Misuse the App or attempt to disrupt related services

• Scrape or bulk-extract the bundled database except as allowed by law or the MIT license applicable to the source data

• Use the App for unlawful purposes

• Misrepresent the App as an official SWIFT product or guarantee of payment success

5. Advertising and analytics

The free version may display ads (Google AdMob), including banners, interstitials, and app-open ads. Analytics (Umeng) may be used after you agree to the in-app privacy notice. Regional privacy messaging (UMP) and App Tracking Transparency may apply. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

6. Remove Ads purchase

A one-time non-consumable in-app purchase may be offered to remove ads (“Remove Ads”). Purchases are processed by Apple. Restore Purchases is available in Settings. Pricing and availability may vary by App Store storefront. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.

7. Intellectual property

• The App software, branding, and original design are owned by us or our licensors.

• Bank-code reference data remains subject to its MIT license and source attributions (see in-App attribution materials / https://swiftbic.org/download/).

• You retain rights to content you create when sharing (for example text you copy), subject to others’ rights in underlying data.

8. Third-party services

Apple, Google AdMob, Umeng, and any app you share to are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP AND THE BUNDLED DIRECTORY ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CODES OR BANK DETAILS ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR FAILED/MISDIRECTED PAYMENTS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) FOR THE APP FEATURES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $10 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may stop offering the App or change features without notice. Provisions that should survive (including disclaimers and limitations) will survive termination.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence and the place from which the App is provided, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections. Rights that cannot be waived under local law remain unaffected.
