Empty Room — Terms of Service

App: Empty Room (iOS)

By downloading or using Empty Room, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Empty Room is

Empty Room provides an optional Lifestyle pause space: soft light, optional ambient sound, sit/lie posture hints, and related quiet atmospheres. It helps you step away from information feeds for a while.

Empty Room is not:

• a medical device;

• psychotherapy or counseling;

• a guided meditation course;

• a habit tracker with streaks or scored “progress.”

It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition, and it does not promise any health outcome.

2. Your use

• You may enter and leave at any time. Nothing is required to “finish.”

• Use the app only when it is safe and appropriate (for example, not while driving or in any situation that needs your full attention).

• You are responsible for complying with local laws where you use the app.

3. Free features and optional unlock

• Free: You can enter the pause, use warm light, adjust brightness, optionally use soft sound, and leave freely.

• Optional unlock: A one-time, non-consumable In-App Purchase may unlock additional Quiet Atmospheres (for example Warm, Moon, Ember) and related soft sound. It is not a subscription.

• Unlock is not required to experience the basic pause.

• Payment, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms. We do not process your card directly.

• Use Restore Purchase if you reinstall or change devices after buying.

4. Intellectual property

The Empty Room name, branding, UI, and bundled content are owned by us or used under license. You may not copy, reverse engineer (except where law allows), or redistribute the app or its assets for commercial purposes without permission.

5. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

6. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. SOME REGIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE PLACES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED.

If you paid for the optional unlock, our aggregate liability related to that purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for that unlock (where such a cap is allowed).

7. Changes and ending use

• We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms (we will update the date above and in-app text when practical).

• You may stop using the app by deleting it at any time.

• We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service for App Store policy, maintenance, or operational reasons.
