By downloading or using HOLD Cool Down, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What HOLD Cool Down is

HOLD Cool Down is a lightweight tool to cool down before you buy: you seal a shopping urge until your daily thaw hour, then choose Pass, Extend, or Buy. Optional Saved totals reflect amounts you marked as passed.

HOLD Cool Down is not:

- a bank, wallet, or payment processor;

- a budgeting suite or investment advisor;

- financial, tax, or legal advice;

- a guarantee that you will spend less or avoid any purchase.

Amounts and decisions you enter are for your personal reflection only.

2. Your use

- You are responsible for the accuracy of titles, prices, and other content you enter.

- Use the app only when it is safe and appropriate (for example, not while driving).

- You are responsible for complying with local laws where you use the app.

- Optional links or photos you attach are your responsibility; do not seal content you are not allowed to store.

3. Free features and optional unlock

- Free: Up to 5 concurrent active seals, one daily thaw hour, thaw decisions (Pass / Extend / Buy), and Saved totals for passes.

- Optional unlock: A one-time, non-consumable In-App Purchase (Unlimited) removes the free concurrent-seal limit. It is not a subscription.

- Unlock is not required to complete a basic Seal → Thaw → Pass loop within the free limit.

- Payment, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms. We do not process your card directly.

- Use Restore Purchases if you reinstall or change devices after buying.

4. Intellectual property

The HOLD / HOLD Cool Down name, branding, UI, and bundled content are owned by us or used under license. You may not copy, reverse engineer (except where law allows), or redistribute the app or its assets for commercial purposes without permission.

5. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT USE WILL RESULT IN ANY PARTICULAR SAVINGS OR SPENDING OUTCOME.

6. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP—INCLUDING PURCHASE DECISIONS YOU MAKE AFTER USING THE APP. SOME REGIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE PLACES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED.

If you paid for the optional unlock, our aggregate liability related to that purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for that unlock (where such a cap is allowed).

7. Changes and ending use

- We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms (we will update the date above when practical).

- You may stop using the app by deleting it at any time.

- We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service for App Store policy, maintenance, or operational reasons.
