Privacy Policy for FabbyLook

Last updated: August 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how FabbyLook (“the App”), provided by Sucheng Wen (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use the App on iOS.

1. Summary

FabbyLook provides real-time hair color try-on using the device camera. Hair segmentation and coloring are designed to run on your device. We do not require an account. Optional advertising and analytics may process limited device and usage data as described below.

2. Information We Process

2.1 Camera, face-containing frames, and Looks content

• The App accesses the device camera to provide real-time hair color try-on. Camera frames may include your face and hair while you use the try-on feature.

• The App does not use ARKit Face Tracking, TrueDepth face geometry meshes, facial recognition, or identity verification. It runs on-device hair segmentation / recoloring on camera frames.

• Live camera frames are processed temporarily in device memory to generate a hair mask and a recolored preview. They are not uploaded to FabbyLook servers.

• We do not operate a FabbyLook cloud service that uploads your live camera stream by default.

• Saved Looks (still images of a try-on result) are stored only on your device in the App’s local gallery. If you enable “Also save to Photos,” copies may be written to your Photo Library. If you use Share, the destination you choose receives the image under that app’s policies.

• Face-containing camera data is not sold and is not shared with advertising or analytics partners for their use.

2.2 Permissions

• Camera: required for live try-on.

• Motion: used to help keep the try-on stable while you hold the phone.

• Photo Library (Add Only): used only when you choose to save a Look to Photos.

• You can change permissions in iOS Settings; related features may become unavailable.

2.3 Purchases

• If you buy “Remove Ads,” Apple processes payment through StoreKit / your Apple ID. We receive an entitlement that ads should be hidden. We do not receive your full payment card details.

2.4 Advertising (Google AdMob)

• The App may show banner, interstitial, and app-open ads via Google AdMob unless you purchased Remove Ads.

• Google and its partners may collect device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, ad interaction data, and similar information to deliver and measure ads, under Google’s policies.

• Where required (for example in the EEA/UK), Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) may ask for privacy choices before personalized advertising is allowed. You can manage choices via Privacy Options in Settings when that entry is required.

• The App configures non-personalized ads (npa=1). You can also limit personalized ads in iOS Settings.

2.5 Analytics (Umeng)

• We use the Umeng SDK to collect aggregated usage and diagnostic information (for example launches, feature events, device model, OS version, and identifiers provided by the SDK) to improve stability and the product.

• Umeng processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.

2.6 Diagnostics you send voluntarily

• If you email feedback (feedbackofapp@outlook.com), the message may include device model, OS version, and app version. Do not include sensitive personal data unless necessary.

3. How We Use Information

• Provide try-on, Looks gallery, share, and purchase-restore features

• Show ads (unless removed) and measure ad performance via AdMob

• Improve the App via analytics

• Respond to support requests

4. Sharing of Information

• With Apple for in-app purchases

• With Google (AdMob / UMP) for advertising and consent messaging

• With Umeng for analytics

• When you explicitly share an image via the system share sheet, the destination you choose receives the content under their policies

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

• Live camera frames used for try-on are processed ephemerally on device and are not retained as a face-data database.

• Local Looks remain on your device until you delete them in the App or uninstall the App.

• Ad and analytics retention is governed by Google, Umeng, and Apple.

• Support emails are retained as needed to respond to you.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children to create profiles. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information via email.

7. International Processing

Ad and analytics providers may process data on servers outside your country, using mechanisms described in their policies where required.

8. Your Choices

• Purchase Remove Ads to stop in-app ads

• Use Privacy Options in Settings when UMP requires a privacy entry point

• Disable Camera / Motion / Photos access in iOS Settings

• Limit Ad Tracking / personalized ads in iOS Settings

• Delete Looks in the App or uninstall the App to remove local content

• Contact us with questions about this Policy

9. Third-Party Policies

• Google Advertising / AdMob: https://policies.google.com/privacy

• Umeng: refer to Umeng’s current privacy policy for the SDK region you use

10. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy where permitted by law.
