Terms of Service
App: Jianhe - Private Files Manager

Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Jianhe - Private Files Manager iOS app (“App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
On the App Store the App may appear as “Jianhe - Private Files Manager.” On your Home Screen the App may appear as “Jianhe” (and as “缄盒” / “緘盒” in Chinese locales). These refer to the same application.
The Service
The App provides a private, on-device box for files you import (including photos, videos, audio, and documents), folders, a box PIN, a recovery password, optional local Wi-Fi import, and backup/restore using a file you export. Features may change over time.
The App is not a cloud drive, not a password manager for other apps, and not a guarantee that files cannot be lost. Files stay on this device unless you export, share, save a copy, or restore from a backup you control. If you forget both the box PIN and the recovery password, the files in this box cannot be opened, and we cannot recover them for you.
You are solely responsible for the files you import, how you use them, and for keeping your PIN, recovery password, and backup files safe.
Ads and In-App Purchases
The free version of the App may display advertisements (including via Google AdMob) and is limited (including folder and file counts described in the App). Two optional one-time non-consumable in-app purchases may be offered:
- Remove Ads — turns ads off; free folder and file limits still apply
- Upgrade Pro — removes those limits, turns ads off, and unlocks additional export/share features described in the App
Purchases are processed by Apple. Restore Purchases is available where required. Pricing and availability may vary by App Store storefront. All sales are subject to Apple’s terms and refund policies. We cannot directly refund App Store purchases. These purchases are not subscriptions.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the App or attempt to disrupt related services
- Reverse engineer the App except where allowed by law
- Use the App for unlawful purposes
- Import, store, or share content that you do not have the right to use, or that violates others’ rights or applicable law
Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, text, graphics, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Use.
You retain rights in your own files, subject to the rights of others in any underlying content.
Third-Party Services
The App may depend on third-party services (Apple, Google advertising, analytics, hosting). We are not responsible for third-party services or their terms and privacy practices.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT FILES CANNOT BE LOST, CORRUPTED, OR MADE UNREADABLE (INCLUDING IF YOU FORGET YOUR PIN AND RECOVERY PASSWORD, LOSE A BACKUP, OR THE DEVICE FAILS).
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) FOR THE APP FEATURES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $10 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us from claims arising out of your misuse of the App, your content, or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may stop offering the App or change features without notice. Provisions that should survive (including disclaimers and limitations) will survive termination.

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy:
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The Effective date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence and where permitted, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Consumer protection rights that cannot be waived under local law remain unaffected.
